House Calls
We are glad to make house calls within the Cartersville area.* In most cases, Dr. Ryan will be able to see you at your convenience and in your home within one day of your call. He will speak to you over the phone before making his visit to determine if a house call is appropriate. We will always call if we are running late.
Some medical conditions are not suitable for house calls. This includes medical emergencies like a heart attack, chest pains, shortness of breath, trauma or loss of consciousness. These should be handled in an Emergency Clinic or Hospital. Most non-emergent or chronic medical conditions can easily be handled with a house call. NOTE: Dr. Ryan does not carry narcotics or prescription pain medications when making house calls.
The cost of this service is $125 plus any additional testing that is performed like blood glucose, urine testing, oxygen assessment, labs or EKG. Payment is expected at the time of service. The Physician's Practice does not accept payment from any private insurance company, Medicare or Medicaid. A special note to those who qualify for Medicare: you will need to sign some papers acknowledging that you are aware of the fact that Dr. Ryan does not accept Medicare payment and that you cannot submit a claim to Medicare for his service.
* An additional charge of $1 per mile (round trip) will be added if travel is beyond 15 miles from our office. The distance is calculated by Google maps. For example, if you live 25 miles from 84 Pine Grove Road, the additional travel charge would be $20.00.
